Professions:
Tailoring/Enchanting
Are your chosen professions maxed? If not, why?
Both are close to maxed. Tailoring 442, Enchanting 432.
Why aren’t they leveled? I’m too cheap to pay to level them up. I’m getting mats while leveling up my alts for my professions instead of buying them.
What level is your First Aid?
62 but easily leveled if you really need it. I’ve got tons of cloth lying around. (Never felt the need to level it as a healer)**Edit** After being heckled by Hedberg and Bulia it is now maxed.
Past raiding experience:
The first real raiding guild I was in was Red Dawn Rising alliance side. I was a main tank healer, and class leader/officer for that guild until it died off. We raided five nights out of the week at least. This was vanilla wow through BC. (Oh the joys of healing tanks that were too short in BWL. I also can remember one time rezzing people after getting burning adrenaline on Vaelastrasz. Good times… Good times…) We had a lot of great personalities in that guild. I dance with them and try to kill them in bg’s every chance I get!
After that I moved on to the horde. It was fresh. It was new. It was fun once I got out of the barrens /chat. I then joined BoC where I was healing with my shaman (Loonacy). How different shammy healing is from priests! I got to see BT and Hyjal before my crappy apartment internet connection forced me into a brief retirement. There is nothing more frustrating than trying to down Archimonde while your internet is lagging to hell… (Don’t ask me how… but I only cratered once even with the lag!) Thank god my internet situation is fixed! I enjoyed my time in BoC. They treated me great.
I was gone for about 8 or 9 months. When I came back I leveled my druid to 80 in DHOC. I eventually transferred the priest over as well. She’s taken over as my main.
We raid Tues/Weds/Thurs/Sun from 7:45-11pm server. Can you attend these times?:
Those times are fine. Only problem I have is during report cards and conferences. RL is > than WoW of course. If you can’t pay the bills… You get the picture.
As a raider what are the strengths you can bring the group?
Patience. I teach 4th graders for a living. Enough said. If that doesn’t impress you imagine healing Avva for 4+ years. (Which takes more patience?) <3 Avva!
Willingness to learn.
Experience in a raid environment.
Great listener.
Ability to take criticism and learn from others.
Ability to put up with crazy personalities like Avva, Bulia, and Hedberg. Remind me to tell you guys about the guy in RDR that was threatening to kill people with a spork…
I’ve also seen Bob get crazy tanking… and it didn’t freak me out.
To contrast that, what are your weaknesses?
Learning WotLK content: This has been the trickiest part for me so far. In BC I knew all the fights and what to do. With time and heroics I’ve gained more experience in WotLK. It’s also been a challenge re-learning the priest class. AoE healing is a lot different than MT healing in BC. (But I do like it!) I remember one time Pete asked me in vent “what the hell is taking you so long to gear up?” It was a great question! Previously in BC I had gotten pvp gear first while leveling. Things definitely changed in WotLK. I think the last couple of months have not just been about gearing up for me though. They’ve been about me catching up with all the changes to this toon after being a shaman and mashing chain heal. BTW Pete <AFK Pooping> hasn’t been used in a while.
What do you consider adequate preparation for raiding?
First reading up on strategies for where you are raiding.
Showing up on time.
Having your gear/spec ready.
You should also have consumables/pots.
All of your mods should be up to date and you need to be on vent.
I won’t need a poop sock will I?
What are some of your favorite sites to seek out information about your character and spec?
The basic class WoW forums, Thottbot, Elitist Jerks, and in the past I’ve used the guild forums to bounce around ideas. I’m also not afraid to ask advice from other players. Avva always tells me what to do too.
Do you have sufficient reputation to acquire the highest level helm glyphs and shoulder inscriptions for your class/spec?
Yes. Only Rep I would like to have that I haven’t started working on is in ICC. I’m also open to going Disc. If needed. My spec atm is pretty cookie cutter for holy. I’ve been toying with going to an Ulduar pure AoE healing spec. I’m just not sure if my gear is good enough for that yet.
Other gaming experience:
Lord… to many systems to mention. Chances are if you can think of it, I’ve played it. My wii and PS3 are sitting around collecting dust atm.
Previous guilds and reason for leaving:
BoC: Internet connection sucked.
RDR: Guild stopped raiding and died.
ALTS:
Cerion (Druid friends & family)
Loonacy (Shaman)
Friends or Family in DHoC:
I’ve really enjoyed the people in DHoC. Everyone’s been helpful and /gchat is entertaining. I was recommended/sponsored by Avva and Hedberg. I know Bulia from BoC as well. I’m a pretty quiet and laid back person which is why I haven’t been talking too much in /G. I also want to take the time here to thank Bob and Michelle for dragging me around to help me gear up. Bowa was also a big help in making me feel welcome.
**Before I forget**
If you have any questions about my application, spec, gear, or whatever just hit me up in game. Chances are I’m online in some form. Ask Avva or Hedberg if I’m not on Cy. Thanks for taking the time to read this and considering me for a member!
